Unique Luxury  Mountain Cabin

Horace

Escape to your whimsical mountain cabin in the wilderness, nestled peacefully in a rural setting offering breathtaking views of the Southern Alps' tallest peaks, the mesmerizing Mount Cook and Mount Tasman.  Step into Cabin Two - Horace, a 21-square-meter cozy abode inspired by the captivating tale of mountaineer Horace Walker. The interior aesthetics pay homage to his personality and era, with earthy greens and vintage browns blending seamlessly with quality linen, and luxury touches. As you enter, you'll find a comfortable queen bed, inviting you to indulge in a restful night's sleep. The compact yet well-equipped kitchenette provides all the essentials for preparing meals. The open-plan layout effortlessly combines the bedroom, kitchenette, dining area, and living space, creating an intimate atmosphere. Immerse yourself in the stunning natural beauty of the West Coast of New Zealand as you step outside onto the deck/balcony. Take in the panoramic views of the valley farmland and the majestic Southern Alps including its tallest peaks, Mount Cook & Mount Tasman. For the ultimate relaxation, unwind in your private outdoor cedar bath, large enough for two people. As you soak away your stresses, sip on your fav tipple and marvel at the starry night sky above.

Horace is our second cabin - named after mountaineer, Horace Walker (1838–1908). Horace was an English mountaineer who made many notable first ascents, including Mount Elbrus and the Grandes Jorasses. The Horace Walker glacier and Horace Walker hut located in the back country near Fox Glacier, in the Southern Alps of New Zealand, are named after him.
